As we get older, there are things we cannot avoid, especially when it comes to our body. We start to notice wrinkles and some skin blemishes. Our skin starts to be sensitive to many things. That is why it is important to invest in your skin while you can. I will share to you my way of taking care of my skin.
The moment I wake up I drink a glass of cold lemon water. Drinking Lemon water has many benefits not only to our overall health but also to our skin. It has an anti-aging property and clears off skin from acne.
There has been a debate whether washing your face in the morning is important or not. If you want to make sure you can consult your dermatologist. However, an article in allure mentioned that we have to cleanse our face before using moisturizer.
Using toner is essential to your daily skincare routine. Before I thought I don’t need one, but as time went by and I have read a lot of articles about skincare routine, thus I began using one. Toner has many benefits, from removing dirt and oil to balancing your skin’s pH.
Sunscreen or Moisturizer
Since you’ll be heading out of your house, it is important to protect yourself from the suns UV light. The sun is our skins worst enemy. That is why it’s important to use a sunscreen. Use a sunscreen that will not dry your skin.
When we get home all the dirt from the outside will settle in our face without knowing it. This will cause blockage of pores that could lead to blackheads and acne. My skincare routine is the same at night, the only thing that changes is the use of night cream or serum. However, in my case, I don’t apply any serum because my skin is sensitive to it. Right now I’m looking for a good night cream that will hydrate my skin.
Every week I use a face mask to relax my face. This is to relive my face from the stress of every day. If you wear makeup I recommend you add a makeup remover to your night routine.
