I have attended an amazing workshop on how to make coffee scrubs. I know you can search a lot of ways to do it, but the reason I joined the workshop was that I want to support the people who held the workshop, to learn, and to meet new people.
But I’m not here to tell you why you should join a workshop. Instead, let me share to you what I’ve learned in the workshop.
How to make a Coffee Scrub
These are all the things you need to make a scrub. My scrub was a bit hard, and it ended being a face scrub instead of a body scrub. I’m planning to make one at home, and maybe I’ll try to sell them.
The scrub I made on the workshop was a bit abrasive on my skin because I used a lot of coarse coffee grounds. I should have used a fine grounded coffee.
- Dry coffee grounds
- Coconut oil (or any oil of choice)
- Cocoa powder
- Organic honey
I didn’t indicate the amount of each ingredients because you’ll have to adjust the ingredients used depending on your preference.
Uses of Coffee Ground
If you don’t want to make your own coffee scrub, there are other things you can do with your coffee grounds.
- Fertilized your garden
- Insect and pest repellent
- Neutralizes odor
- Facial and body scrub
- Reduce cellulite
- Fix scratches in furnitures
- Compost for your plants
Instead of throwing your coffee grounds, find a way to use it. The world doesn’t need another trash to be thrown away to the landfill. Be sustainable to save the planet and to save your money. Let’s all live a simple and sustainable life by being conscious of every decision we are to make.
