Read to Escape: Back to Reading Books

I cannot remember the last time I was so enthusiastic about reading. All I know was that I was in college when the last time I did enjoy reading a book, and I even considered it to be my hobby. However, going to med school, working, in short, being an adult is somewhat a hindrance to opening up a book to enjoy.

However, lately, I am constantly reading, and I can’t get enough of it either. I have even bought a lot of classic books to read, and I’m getting excited about it. My interest in reading books began when I was looking for Don Miguel Ruiz’s “The Fourth Agreement,” which I heard from one of my favorite artists, Annie Tarasova. But I couldn’t find a copy of the book instead, I saw Donna Tartt’s “The Secret History.”

I have been looking for this book for years because I really want to read about it. I heard a lot of good reviews about the book, and it’s a classic! After reading the book, my goodness, I am so obsessed. This now became my second favorite book. I love the plot, and I got to fall in love with the characters. Sometimes I wish that it will be adopted into a film, but I don’t want it to be ruined, not unless they’ll make it as good as the book. I honestly recommend this book if you are into dark academia kind of vibe.

Currently, I am reading Agatha Christie’s ” Hallowe’en Party ,” I’m not a fan of the book, but I’m just starting, so I can’t judge for now if it’s good or bad. But hey, Agatha is an amazing writer, so I guess it’s gonna be a hell of a ride this book of hers.

I’ll be following “Hallowe’en Party” with Albert Camus’ “The Plague.” I bought a book that is in the year 1969, how cool is that right? I am so fond of old books, especially the classic stories.

1969?
Oldies but goodies.

All the books I bought are secondhand. I used to buy brand new, but it is too expensive. Now I only buy secondhand books because some are quite old like the current books I purchased, it’s affordable, and it is definitely sustainable.

How about you, what book are you currently reading? Can you recommend a classic book I should buy?
